Just had the worst Thanksgiving experience. Beware if you make a reservation --- it means nothing. We checked in with our party on time and we're not seated until an hour after our reservation time. By the time we were seated our moods prevented us from enjoying the meal. I guess we should have checked in a hour earlier. Also - management if you are reading this - put a time limit on guests. 2 hours is more than enough time.

The service here is a little slow and they aren't great with drink refills. This restaurant was also pretty packed due to this being a character breakfast. My boys really enjoyed seeing all of the characters while they ate. The buffet was pretty good and had all of the breakfast basics from eggs, bacon, sausage, and Mickey Waffles to cold peel and eat shrimp, sliced meats and cheeses. I could take or leave this restaurant, but we really wanted to the character experience for the boys.

On a recent trip to Disney, my family and I were looking for a nice place to enjoy seafood at one of the Disney hotels. We called to make reservations and even though we arrived early we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and checked in often In regards to the food, everything I had was great. My main interest was the crab legs. Who doesn't love delicious crab legs with melted butter? It was seriously heavenly! Also had salmon, red potatoes and Caesar salad on the side. All were tasty, but not the main attraction of the buffet. The dessert area was somewhat lacking, only 3 or 4 choices . I didn't try any of them as I was so focused on those darn crab legs Overall, the environment was nice, service was good and seafood was outstanding. Great option for a Disney buffet that won't disappoint

Food is good but not great. Your going for the character breakfast. Very expensive for a buffet

We always make sure a trip to Disney World includes dinner at Cape May Cafe - and I would recommend you try it if you love seafood. The selection of food is extensive, anchored by steamed clams, crab legs and prime rib. Save room for desert too, there is always a great selection of bite-sized deserts - just enough if you are like me and fill up on the crab legs!

3.5 stars $35 for an AYCE and that it's on Disney property is actually not badly priced. BUT because of the limited selection, I think the $35 is a bit expensive; sure you can eat unlimited snow crab legs, manila clams, mussels and cocktail shrimps but i think it'll be fair to have more options. True they have other non-seafood items but all those items were just okay. Not bad not great -- it was decent. Dessert bar was sad though. C'mon disney, you can do better than that. The dessert bar had only 4 choices. I expected a lot more from Disney for desserts .. why not have a self serve ice cream station? Anyway, the only good thing about this restaurant is the unlimited seafood you can eat. Just eat those to get your money worth.

Breakfast Buffet with Minnie, Goofy, and Donald! I am not a fan of buffet style breakfast from the get go. They did have a large variety of food. There were also a couple of items that stood out. For the most part, everything was just AOK. This was another meal purchased with the deluxe food plan. Otherwise, I am sure this would have been expensive. The characters were actually pretty nice and spent more time at my table than I had imagined. Overall, it was AOK and then some. The little one loved the characters and the buffet was quite extensive. I am a fan. Total Cost- 0 on the dining plan and one ticket each.

Promoted as an all you can eat seafood buffet, this was the worst buffet I have ever been to for the price. You can find the same seafood selection at an average Chinese buffet. However, at least the Chinese buffet will have more than 1 type of shrimp to choose from. The food itself was ok and the service good but WOW what a waste of money.

Ah, another great place to eat and enjoy life in the magical land of Disney! Cape May Cafe is located inside Disney's Beach Club Resort... and therefore echoes an idea you'll find in any of the parks and attractions: great service. While on a recent weekend trip to Orlando, my friends and I decided to get in touch with our inner child and attend a Sunday character brunch. We thought we may be too late to make reservations at some of the nicer ones, but Cape May Cafe allowed us to book a table for four the night before! Parking was not an issue, which is always a plus when venturing to parks and although we had to wait a few minutes for our table, the Beach Club Resort is so pretty inside, I didn't mind. Once seated, our server came over to us and was nothing but attentive, friendly and upbeat, and thankfully-- not seeming to pay any judgment to the fact that we were a group of post-grads in a sea of young families. I'm not sure if this is always the case, but Minnie, Goofy and Donald were at the brunch sporting some beachware. If you're looking to see the characters, I definitely recommend doing it this way, rather than wasting your day in line at the parks. The brunch food was pretty good, not necessarily anything to write home about, but I left full and content. It's buffet style, so bring your appetite. There's a selection of fruit, different types of casseroles, a cheese/meat table for small sandwiches, and most importantly, waffles shaped like Mickey Mouse. Nothing blew me away, but I didn't come expecting a 5-star meal and the food was better than I thought. I believe the total price came to $26 per person. That's most likely the highest it can be since we were not staying in a Disney resort and had no type of Disney "meal plan." I'm sure they knock the price down to bring in their main clients (children under age 10) and the food would definitely satisfy that age group... even if you have a few picky eaters in your party. But now that I'm reading other reviews, I'm wishing we had ditched the character brunch and gone for the seafood buffet. But, my love for snow crab legs aside... this was a brunch I'd recommend to others.

When you listen to your mother, it's not always the right choice.... So we're planning out our evening dining plans and my mom says: All the Disney bloggers say Cape May Cafe is a great value! All you can eat! Deelish food! I should have listened to my inner voice. My mother also drinks cola spelled like KOLA to save .30 cents... My mom also decided to make us all matching Mickey Mouse sweatshirts. The six of us walk into the Cape May Cafe looking like a baseball team. I'm not sure how I feel at this point, my head is in a strange place. We get seated and.. We're off! It's a all you can eat buffet. Fried, mushy fish. All you can eat crab legs and fish wrapped and stuffed with regret. All for the masses with huge plates piled high. I look at my mom surrounded by her grandchildren and family. She's smiling. Now I'm smiling.

A buffet that is seafood themed?!?! Right up my alley! The buffet had so many delicious items--several salad choices (including a Caesar), two soup choices (including a seafood chowder), several pasta dishes, a carving station, a kids station (had fish nuggets, pizza, baked chicken, mac & cheese), and the seafood! Crab legs (and there was corn on the cob and petite potatoes to go with it!), mussels, clams, peel and eat shrimp, crab legs, fried shrimp, salmon, and oh, did I mention crab legs?? Sooo good! There was also a selection of desserts. A delicious dinner indeed!

Glad we were on the food plan, looked like it woulda been a fairly expensive breakfast buffet for mediocre food. The food was nothing special, typical breakfast buffet options. The site of fresh fruit was welcoming and provided a great start for an eventful day within Disney's parks. The characters we saw were: Donald, Goofy and Minnie in beach attire. They spent an ample amount of time at each table, and the kids seemed to really enjoy it. They also spent a lot of time at our table of 2 adults. Crazy how they can joke around without saying a word. Our server was extremely nice. Once her section slowed down, she spent some time talking to us about Disney and her tenure there. Also gave us some tips on things to see and do. Wish I could remember her name to pay her a compliment.

Which characters can you find here? Goofy, Minnie, and Donald in beach attire. They come around a lot so lets say your flash didn't come up the first time you have plenty of other chances to get other shots. What kind of food can you find here? American- the usual eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, bagels, fruits, Mickey waffles, etc. Even though its ordinary I liked everything I tried! How was the service? Our server was extremely nice from start to finish. For example: When it was time to get ready to sing Happy Birthday to my sis, she was trying to get a character to be around for pics and she got Goofy! Any last thoughts? I would definitely come here again. This breakfast was our last Disney event before we left back to California, sigh ;(, and I'm really glad of how well it went! :D

I'd never been to a character breakfast at Disney before, but this year I decided it was time! I read many, many reviews of restaurants and finally settled on Cape May Cafe. I made a reservation about a month in advance and was seated early. The food was outstanding! There were so many different options to choose from and everyone I tried was delicious. The characters came through at different points during our meal and were so much fun to interact with. They took as many pictures with us as we wanted and Minnie and Goofy came by a second time! The best part of our meal was our waitress, Dorothy. She checked on us at least a dozen times throughout our meal to make sure we had everything we needed. I never once felt rushed by her, which was a huge deal for me (since it would be easy for the employees to sweep people out to accommodate more guests). She gave us park advice and answered all of our questions! She was such a sweet, kind woman and we just loved her! I was overwhelmingly happy with Cape May Cafe and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great character breakfast experience. Hats off to Disney for my favorite memory of the trip!

By standards of available restaurants in the Orlando area two stars for this all you can eat buffet is being generous. The Alaskan King crab legs were more like Prince or Earl crab legs at best. VERY small and flavorless. The calamari and clam strips were were under cooked and chewey. The large shrimps were nice and de-veined though. I didn't eat much of any of the other offered seafood such as salmon, muscles, and steam clams. And at $40 per person I would spend my dining dollars at a different establishment.

Dining at Cape May has gone from being just a tradition but an absolute must when staying on property. My 85 year old father about threw away his cane and ran when the buzzer went off letting us know our table was ready. That man loves his clams. Prices have gone up in recent years but then again, so has the food/menu quality. Wait queue organization is radically improved over the original layout helping speed the hungry (nay ravenous) patrons through the lines. Clams are an absolute must and they've removed the horrible Tarragon version that used to be on the buffet. (Clams are a bit overcooked but the flavor is still excellent). A variety of other options are available for those who aren't fans of the bivalve and prefer more land-based items.

Went for dinner and the food was great. They kept the crab legs coming. Some of the shells were soft but it was still yummy. Our waitress was so nice and she checked on us regularly. The selection was not as wide as other buffets but the food they had tasted great.

We stayed in the beach club on our recent visit and had breakfast at Cape may a few times. The food was very good. there were many options from standard eggs, bacon, hash browns to smoked salmon, salad and fruit. The staff was very friendly sometime too friendly ( mostly the over 80 staff lol). My one complaint was they have the same characters everyday.( Goofy, Daffy and Minnie) we would have liked to see a few others.

Seafood Heaven! Located in the Beach Club, the Cape May Cafe was one of the best meals my family had at Walk Disney World! Be sure to make a reservation if you want to get in...and you DO want to get in! The buffet dinner is filled with seafood options: Shrimp and Scallop Pasta, King Crab Legs, Mussels, Clam Steamers, New England Clam Chowder..but there is also Chicken Nuggets, Salad, Mac & Cheese, Ribs, Steak at a carving station, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and MORE, including TWO dessert tables. It is overwhelming and amazing all at the same time. Come hungry and be prepared to eat for an hour. I had at least five courses. It does take a really long time to get the bill for some reason, but our server was great with refills and taking away our dirty plates. She was very friendly. I would go back tonight if I could!

This was probably one of the best meals at Disney that I've had. It's a buffet with crab legs! The deserts were fantastic as well. I know quinoa is becoming pretty trendy as a known superfood. Disney has incorporated it in many of its higher end eateries. Prices are as high as usual for resort food, but having the meal plan really does save on the pocket book unless you plan to eat off property.

I remember when I booked my reservations here, I was so excited. Come on, stepping off the plane and hitting a seafood buffet what's not to love? Well it's apparently this buffet. First of all, the temperature of the food was not kept warm or even lukewarm. I even saw one of the kitchen staff replace the clam chowder with a fresh one. I scooped up a bowl and when I got back to my table it was cold. Not good. The staff did a really poor job of keeping the buffet stocked and I'm not just talking about the crab legs either. It was little items like the Caesar salad and corn bread that kept getting depleted without a refill. The mussels and clams were basically just empty shells every time I scooped them up. But at least the crab legs were well stocked. So because those were the only stocked and warm item, I had a couple plates (Yes, call me an oinker). The quality was okay but nothing spectacular. The one plus was the dessert buffet. The Key Lime tarts and Oreo Bon Bons were delicious and so yummy. Definitely a plus on that. Overall, this buffet is maybe a little more hype than it's worth. I think for the price you expect warm foods and a stocked buffet line, but I guess that's just me.

Went here because of a recommendation we received before arrival. Not a large buffet and not a good one either. It reminded me of those Chinese buffet places where most of the food is bad and most people seem to flock to snow crab area. Unfortunately the crab wasn't good, leaving the Salad area as the highlight, which is not a good thing. Boatwrights in Port Orleans is way better and we wouldn't have had to leave hotel. Ugh.

We couldn't believe the quality of this buffet until we saw the price. Or as my husband put it in his little complaining session after spending too much on food (which I "magically" recorded:) "I don't want to shit on Mickey Mouse but he just spent a whole week shitting on me. This place is magical as long as my credit card is still working. I've been to the best buffets in Vegas, aka, Disney World for grown-ups, but none of them have managed to extract 86$ for two people outta me after telling me to have a magical night." He understands that "best buffets in Vegas" is an oxymoron but I felt his pain. So I guess if you have an endless stream of cash and/or understand the Dining Plan, you can't go wrong here. Make sure you try the Pina CoLAVA, that was my favorite drink in all of WDW.

A seafood heaven! We stumbled upon this place just strolling the Boardwalk. It is huge! The dinner buffet is massive and almost overwhelming, but everyone was able to find food they enjoyed. My son particularly loved the dessert buffet and made his own creation that he was very proud of! The staff was pleasant, but seemed overwhelmed. Not inexpensive, but definitely worth the splurge! We would 100% go back!

All the seafood tasted fresh, like the crab legs etc. But, there wasn't a large selection. It is somewhat deceiving because you see a large square when you walk into the buffet lined with foods but half way around all the food repeats and then you get disappointed that the selection isn't that large. The salmon was a little dry for my liking, and I wish the breads stayed hot. I only really ate the seafood but there was chicken and mac n' cheese for the anti-seafood eaters. The deserts were really yummy, the caramel flan was great. The lemon cheesecake was a little to lemonie-yep I made up a word- for my liking. I would give it a 3.5 star but i can't...

Oh. My. Goodness. We came here for dinner on the first night of our vacation. This was the main reason I never wanted to leave Disneyworld. Everything from the food, the atmosphere, the service, the drinks... To die for. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the all you can eat crab legs. I am not a huge fan of seafood, so I was MEGA excited to see that there were so many other dishes to choose from - Chicken, ribs, beef, potatoes, pasta, plenty of salads and breads. I believe I refilled my plate 3 times or so. I was stuffed, but the food was so good, I just wanted to keep going. This restaurant counts as a table service credit if you're using the Disney dining plan and it was even more than worth it. I would have paid out of pocket, if I needed to. The restaurant is loud, but not to the point where it's unbearable. The seating is nicely arranged. I mean, my boyfriend and I are two adults that ventured to Disneyworld for an adorable experience, but when it came to dinner, we did prefer a calmer, more "mature" atmosphere. We totally found that here. Our server was a sweetheart, by the way.

First time eating here and I loved it! The food was great. Who doesn't love crab legs?! My personal favorite was the seafood paella. The service was okay. The waitress didn't come by very often for drink refills or to collect dirty plates.

One of the best restaurants in florida. This is our second time coming to Cape May Cafe and we are still loving it. They have amazing dishes like their fish nuggets and their crab! There's kid friendly dishes too like pizza, chicken nuggets, and macaroni. I found myself eating a lot of their macaroni too-it's really creamy. You also should try their clam chowder! Desserts...my favorite was their mini lava cake which they discontinued a few months ago. But they do have cheesecakes and a cake built on top of an oreo which are good too. Most of their desserts are really tiny. But even without their lava cakes, Cape May Cafe has something for everyone!

Take your dollars or your dining plan credits elsewhere! There is too much good food at Disney for the same or MUCH less money to darken the door of this establishment. First off, the staff is borderline competent, and I do mean borderline. We almost couldn't get seated because the reservation was in my husband's name (Geoffrey, pronounced much like "Jeffrey") and the hostess insisted the only reservation they had was for "GODfrey." I assure you, G-E-O-F-F-R-E-Y spells Geoffrey, not Godfrey. Either that or my husband has a lot of adjusting to do. The decor and ambience are not particularly impressive. Let me just start with the fact that we paid approximately $100 for two people, with one drink each. In that price range, is it so wrong to expect something besides Shoney's tables covered with butcher paper? Is it so wrong to expect that servers will, oh, pay you some attention? Is it so wrong to expect that you will be seated at a table larger than the average cafeteria tray? Is it so wrong to expect that you will be able to hear your own self think, let alone a word that comes out of the mouth of your dining partner (who, due to the size of the table, is right up in your face)? Is it?!? The kindest thing I have to say about the food is there was a LOT of it. I honestly didn't eat much that I thought was truly GOOD. There was a lot of "all right" and a little bit of "downright gross," though. The crab legs are so salty that you'l have to buy new pants the next day and the mussels and clams are meh. The pasta tasted like glue and they even managed to screw up the carving station, though I'm not sure how. The staff member who seated us made it a point of taking us by the dessert buffet to point out their "signature" lemon cheesecake with blueberry whipped cream. The whipped cream, I have to admit, was pretty darn good. The cheesecake... wasn't. Maybe if she hadn't raised expectations then it would have been fine. They did have a nice variety of shot-glass or bite-sized desserts, which I appreciate in concept because I always want to try everything, but in this case it only gives me the ability to say with authority that you should not waste your time. I am a sugar fiend. I will literally eat it with a spoon if you'll let me, so dessert is usually not a hard sell for me. This stuff just plain wasn't good. I do not mind a bit spending what some would consider obscene amounts of money on restaurant experiences that are truly worth the cost. With that said, I am downright offended at the gall of this place to charge what they do for what we got. Seriously, go someplace else.

Took the entire family to the character breakfast here. The food is decent for a buffet. The service is very good. There simply are not many characters here though. 3 or 4 only as I recall. Minnie, Donald, & Goofy, We saw them all twice. I prefer Chef Mickey for the character breakfast because as I recall there are more characters and the location cannot be beat (Contemporary Resort Hotel next to the Magic Kingdom).

A must visit if you enjoy Seafood. We were so glad we tried this place on July 6th. We had 5:15pm reservations. The buffet was full of tasty seafood: crab legs with drawn butter-heaven; peel and eat shrimp; clams sauteed in white wine/butter; musssels in a tasty light red sauce; fried clams; salmon; fried cod was great; jambalaya-was fantastic!! Everything was fresh, the soup was great-I had the clam chowder of course. They had a carving station and mashed pototatos for the land lovers. They also had stuff for the kids-chicken nuggets I believe and pizza. The desserts looked fantastic but we did not have any room at that point. It was worth every penny of the $39.95 dinner price includes soda and free-refills. Can't wait to go back.

Been here for both breakfast and dinner. Both were pretty good--buffet fare. Service is always lacking here for us. It takes FOREVER to get refills and the bill. My kids love the dinner seafood buffet, but I'm allergic to seafood. I load up on Mickey mac and cheese which sounds silly, but it is THE BEST Mac & cheese and not the same as other eateries on site.

This is the " Mac daddy" of all you can't eat buffets. Literally everything is on the buffet you could imagine. Kids also have a jr buffet with all the goodies . Be sure to bring an appetite and save room for dessert!

The family and I were a bit underwhelmed with the selections or should I say lack thereof. This was supposed to be an all-u-can-eat seafood buffet, really? A bit over priced for such a limited buffet.

Can you say death by seafood? Not sure how the economics work, but I at least broke even, or even made money on this visit. The seafood spread was great including snow crab legs, mussels, clams, shrimp, flank steak, veggies (space waster...haha), salad bar and dessert bar. We were seated around 8pm. Restaurant was full. Service was friendly but slow. No problem, I just focused on my eating. Nice thing is that they close when you are done, so no pressure to eat against the clock. I got my fill after 2.5 hours and happily waddled out.

Cape May Cafe provided us with our favorite breakfast on our recent Walt Disney World honeymoon. I thought they served more variety than the other places we ate at like Boma and Crystal Palace. The food was also better here even though all of the places we went to served more or less the same basic things. I enjoyed the fun atmosphere and the music they played in the restaurant (they played "The Monkey's Uncle", one of my favorites!). It got the job done and our server even provided us with a special dessert since it was our honeymoon. We had fun here!

We had breakfast here. The food was typical breakfast fare. For the price, I expected at least one thing I'd fall in love with, but didn't happen. The food was good, though. The characters are always fun and I feel you actually get a little more time with them here, vs a couple other character meals we've tried, and they did a great job hamming it up for the kids. For that alone, it is probably worth it for many and also why I gave them 4 stars. We saw Minnie, Goofy and Donald. Personally, we might not come back unless we get the deluxe dining plan....there are so many restaurants that blow our socks off and so few meals while we're there... :-)

This restaurant has been a favorite of my family for the last 8 years or so. This review is based on their "New England" style dinner. I say New England in quotes because...I live in Connecticut and have never had to peel my own shrimp back home, lol. Last year I would have rated this restaurant 3 stars because it was good, but there was nothing stand-out about it. Steamers, peel 'n eat shrimp, clam chowder, roast beef, etc. Slight yawn but it was presented very nicely and the restaurant is very lovely inside. The wait staff is very good also. This year they added hot alaska king crab legs...and they are AWESOME!!!!!! Definitley warrants extra stars. My only concern with this place is that they have shoved as many tables as possible into it so it can be tough to get around. Especially when there are kids running and screaming all over the place--as is always the case at Disney. Also the back of the restaurant is open air to a hallway that leads from the Beach Club front desk around it to other parts of the hotel. Often I could hear the over-zealous screeching of more unattended children coming from there too. Adorable. But if you can't handle that stuff, you shouldn't be at Disney in the first place. Wait no, that stuff happens everywhere, just get used to it.

Our visit was in 2009. We had both the clam bake dinner buffet and the character breakfast buffet. I loved the variety of foods at the dinner buffet. My Aunt is a vegetarian and she had many different options to try. I went straight for the shrimp, which were prepared perfectly. The kids have their own "corner" with kid friendly food but they could eat anything in the entire buffet if they wanted. The breakfast buffet was especially fun for the 4 under-7 kids in our party. Each character spent a good amount of time at our table, posing for pictures and signing autographs. The breakfast was your standard buffet - eggs, meats, pastries, Mickey shaped Belgian waffles, and was very good but nothing out of the ordinary. I did appreciate the variety of fruit.

This review is for the Cape May dinner buffet. We love the Cape May! It is a fun atmosphere, the food is excellent and being a buffet, just the right thing to feed a hungry crew at a set price.. The food is always hot and fresh, which isn't isn't easy in a buffet of this type. We also love seafood so this place is perfect. But even if you aren't a seafood lover they have great meat choices and if you are a vegetarian they have tons of fresh, steamed vegetables.

My boyfriend and i went here for breakfast on our first day at Disney and we had dinner here on our last night at Disney. as we stood in this long line waiting to be seated we kept seeing people just walk in. So my boyfriend went up to the manager tracy (or at least she was dressed like one) that was just standing there to ask if we were in the right line. Her reply was as she pointed " that is the line so we can seat you so you can eat breakfast" seriously that's how you talk to a 52 year old?? That was very rude it was a simple question that should of been answered yes sir it is. You don't talk down to a person like that especially of you are in customer service and at DISNEY LAND! so we get seated, our waitress was very nice she informed us about the food and the Disney characters that would be coming around to each table. Goofy showed up first and then while he was still there Donald duck showed up. It being my birthday and all i figured i would love to have a picture of me and my boyfriend the both of them. So before goofy walked away i let the waitress know that i would like a picture. She told me she would find out if that could be done. I was thinking all ya have to do is grab my camera and shoot. What's there to find out. Anyways she goes and asked some lady and comes back to inform me that it cannot be done. then this other lady walls over to goofy and within my hearing told him he is not to take a picture with Donald and us. she knew i could hear her i wasn't more than 2 feet away and she looked right at me. it's not like i was asking anyone to come over they were both right there how hard could it be plus it was my birthday. You would think they could make an exception. The food was okay the bacon tasteless but for the price I expected better. So on to my dinner experience. We choose this place again because of the sea food. Well again i set myself up for disappointment. I asked for a drink then i asked if they could add an extra shoot of rum into it and i didn't mind paying extra for it. Or waitress was.dumb founded with the request. She didn't know if it could be done, told me she would have to check. So we said then the drink and put a shot of rum on the aside andi will add it. This further confused her. So she goes off to ask whomever comes back after awhile to inform me that it can be done but she will have to charge me extrafor it. I said that perfectly fine ( not that i didn't say that anyways) so she goes off to get my drink only to return with it at the end of my meal. and i am a very slow eater. No I'm sorry for the delay no nothing. Then she returns about 10 mins later to tell me she gave me the wrong drink without the extra shot she had the right one with her but then told me she needed the other one back. Wow! Where does Disney hire these people. The food was just okay not worth the money. Crab legs were so over cooked the shells were too soft to crack, but if you managed toopen them it was pretty good. Mac and cheese i think had a pound of salt in it, the doing butter tasted like not sure but it wasn't butter. The corn bread was awesome. The dessert looked heavenly but tasted like hell. So over all this place wasn't very good. Maybe if it wasn't so pricey my expectations wouldn't have been so high. We do not mind paying for quality. It's the lack of it that we do not like. They say your wishes come true at Disney land but this time I think they were to worried about how much money they could make off you with the least amount of quality in their service and their product.

The bread pudding French Toast was quite good, but I always leave here with an upset stomach... Okay, that has only been twice, spread out over a few years... but I have only been here twice. All you can eat, which I guess is okay... Egg White Fritata was pretty good... Lox was good and then I had a bad piece, which is what probably got me... Better places at WDW for sure.

The menu is limited but the food is pretty good. My son and his friend enjoyed breakfast with Goofy and that's what it was all about. The decor is very nice !

Warning: Tourist Trap. What a ripoff. $28 for a breakfast buffet. Doesn't even have a station for omelet or eggs your way. But your 5 year old will get to meet Micky, Minnie, Donald & Goofey... Honestly nothing special & over priced

Cape May Café was just OK for the exorbitant price we paid for a semi seafood buffet. We visited during Lint, so I was being good and stuck to fish only, so that kinda limited my choices. The Clam chowder was one of the better dishes offered here, but they ran out quick and they didn't replace it until just before I left. The Salad bar is just as good as you might find at any Pizza Hut Buffet but you cant get Crab Legs at pizza hut. Nothing to really rave about over the food, and service was on the slow side but I should have expected this knowing that it's a Disney Property Hotel/Resort. The dinning area was large and quite full. Make sure to make reservations well ahead of time too, or you'll be waiting for quite some time for so-so food and a bill you'll have to look at twice all the while telling yourself that your on vacation at Disney and all money is like playing with Monopoly Money... Just spend it and enjoy yourself

I brought my mother here once for a character breakfast. I've been to them all over property, and was happy to add another one to my list, especially in one of my favorite resorts. As far as character breakfasts go, this is pretty standard in terms of food offerings and characters who visit. I don't remember everyone who visited our table, but I do know that Minnie was one of them. I believe she is "hostess" of this particular breakfast. There was something decidedly ho-hum about it, though, especially when you stack it up against other breakfasts like the one at O'hana, Chef Mickey's, or that brass ring of character dining, Cinderella's Royal Table. Perhaps its being in one of the more subdued resorts and lack of a really unique theme puts it there. Not terrible, not the best. If you'd like a character breakfast experience and can't get a priority seating for or just don't have time for one of the more popular ones like the aforementioned Chef Mickey's, the Cape May Cafe will do just fine.

Dinner is not a character dining experience. However, they have all you can buffet. Mostly crab legs. They have some salads, clams, fried shrimp, etc. Kids menu is spaghetti, pizza, and corn dogs. There is also a dessert buffet. However, I wasn't impressed. I mostly just ate corn on the cob.

Thank heavens this delightful restaurant is 15 hours away from home, or my pocket book and belt buckle would be busted. Seriously, this restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip. We went for the evening seafood buffet, and it was beyond magical. We were seated early for our reservation (and close to the buffet, thank you very much). My husband was in seventh heaven because the buffet was kept fully stocked with steaming hot, delectable, melt in your mouth (after you remove the shells), all you can eat crab legs!!! My husband never strayed from that corner of the buffet. Never fear, my son and I had the privilege of sampling the buffet in it's entirety. We are not crab snobs. The freshly carved steak was perfectly medium, juicy, and delicious. My child was elated because they also cater to children here with pizza, chicken, and fries, as well as other yummy kid-fare. I enjoyed their variety of fresh salads, ripe & juicy pineapple, corn, potatoes, etc. etc. The only weak spot in the entire restaurant may have been the dessert selection, but that may have just been personal preference. I did find something deliciously yummy on the dessert table, but I can't remember (sorry) which it was. We will definitely, definitely be putting this on the list for our next trip.

3.5 I really want to give this spot a higher rating, but for now I think this is pretty acurate. Came here for dinner with friends and well, the food was just ok. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but the taste is alright. Things that lower the rating here are the crab legs and lack of fish options. I understand this is a seafood buffet, but can we increase the quality and selection for the price we're paying? The crab legs seemed rather skinny and undercooked. I think there was only one fish dish...maybe the breakfast buffet is better? Especially if there are characters walking around, I think it would've enhanced the experience.

We came here for the breakfast buffet and arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation and were seated immediately. The kids got really excited as soon as we walked in because Minnie, Donald Duck and Goofy were visiting the guests. The characters came around fairly frequently. We were there about an hour and a half and they each came by twice. The food was fresh and very tasty. I wished there was more of a variety, but was happy with what they had. The bread pudding with vanilla sauce was delicious. They had the standard fare of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bread/toast, bagel, lox, potatoes, Mickey waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. We would love to try Chef Mickey's or Ohana next time we go.

Went here for character breakfast. Food was decent: some good and some bad. The best tasting thing is the Mickey waffle. Yum! Other things like the bacon and sausage were a little disappointing. Obviously you don't come here for the food, but for the characters. Outside of, say, Chef Mickey's, this place has the best characters: Minnie, Donald, and Goofy as of this writing. And since you're probably not going to be able to get a reservation at Chef Mickey's, this is the next best option. You'll still need a reservation, but at least you can get one.

The highlight of a week trip to Disney. All you can eat crab legs, mussels, clams, shrimp, ribs, sirloin...and the quality was actually really good too. Everywhere else we ate at Disney was basically glorified College Dorm food, this place was really good. I can't really think of a complaint except for maybe giving up on the crab a plate or two early. If anything is a must while you're at Disney, if you like seafood at all, this is a definite Must.

Located in WDW Beach Club Resort Hotel, this is a buffet place, with characters. I find that breakfast is much better than dinner here. Mostly because I am not a seafood fan. The food and the service is very good. On the Dining Plan, counts as one meal.

Overcooked Mussels and crab legs. Dried up clams and fish. I have had better seafood at Chinese Buffets. What a shame for a Disney restaurant. Avoid!

We took our 2 girls, ages 6 and 3, to this character buffet on Saturday May 30th. This was our first character meal with the Disney "characters". We did the Princess Dining at the Akershus Hall in Norway the night before but this was our first for this type of interaction. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of time the characters spent with our girls. We had Goofy, Minnie and Donald come to our table and spent a good 3 or 4 minutes with the girls. During Goofy and Minnie, my oldest was getting food therefore, her chair was empty. They sat down next to my 3 year old and colored with her and Minnie wrote her a note. They stayed as I tried to get my wife and 6 year old back to the table. They definitely spent more time than the princesses, who said hello, signed their name and rushed us to get a picture. As far as the food, some was good and the rest was your typical hotel fast food. The fruit was all crisp and excellent. I enjoyed the sausage and the eggs with ham and peppers. The bacon was awful and the gravy for the biscuits left a lot to be desired. Of course, that was probably an uphill battle they couldn't win to begin with. I have a high standard when it comes to biscuits and gravy with me being from the south! All-in-all, I would recommend this character breakfast but I did not give it a 5th star because I do not have another "character" meal to compare it to. It was, however, much more personable than the Princess dinner.

Buffet was fantastic. Buckets of clams and mussels and traditional clam bake fixins'. Reservation was made and we were seated promptly. Waiter was attentive. Crayons and a paper table cloth provided the necessary entertainment for the kids. For dessert they had several choices, my son ate about four of the Oreo cookies topped with marshmallow and dipped in chocolate.

We have been to Disney properties many times for meals, but thought we'd try the Cape May Café for breakfast at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Most important tip: Make advanced dining reservations online or by phone before you arrive in Orlando. They take reservations up to 180 days before you plan to dine on Disney property. We arrived at 7:55 a.m. for an 8:35 a.m. Sunday morning reservation in March 2010. We were just running early, but it seems that we arrived at the right time. The restaurant was already filled and there were at least 60 people (parents and kids) standing/sitting in the lobby area waiting to dine. The host gave us a blinky device which would light up when our table was ready. About 7 minutes later, we were called and seated. The meal is served buffet style for $20.99 per adult. One area found bagels, bread, smoked salmon, capers, cream cheese butter, red onion and tomato slices. There's a rotary toaster which almost browns the bagels too much, but I couldn't figure out how to change the setting. Another area found three types of cereal and bananas. The main buffet area splits into a right and left side, both essentially showcasing the same foods, except each side has a huge massive omelet with different fillings (one was ham and cheese and the other was vegetarian). I found scrambled eggs, hash brown potatoes, grits, sausage, bacon, cantelope, pineapple, honeydew melon, strawberries and assorted pastries. There is a shorter area of the buffet line with small Mickey waffles and various toppings. Perfect height for children. The platters and trays were plentifully filled when we arrived and throughout our meal we observed the buffet line being restocked. The scariest part was when 'Thing' emerged into the bagel/salmon window to refill the platters. You just see the faceless/bodiless hand reaching through the window area from the kitchen to the serving area. Too funny! Our server was terrific. She filled our glass with an endless supply of orange juice without asking. Probably the only time I have ever witnessed that action at any restaurant in my life. The coffee is provided in a carafe and although I don't drink coffee my husband does and he said it was hot, well-flavored and enough to enjoy throughout and after his meal. Plates were swiftly removed and the check was presented and processed in a timely fashion. In the area in which we were seated, no fewer than five different childrens' birthdays were going on. Minnie Mouse and Goofy visited our table, and although we saw Donald Duck, he did not visit our table. Not that we minded, we weren't necessarily eating there due to the characters. The servers do sing to the birthday guest and encourage nearby diners to participate after making an announcement. The total before tip was $44.XX. I would definitely return and encourage future guests to arrive early and hungry!

My family and I came here on our last trip to Disney. The Beach Club is really beautiful and we enjoyed walking around the hotel grounds before having dinner. This buffet has a lot of options - it's not as huge as some other Disney buffets, but more than enough. I don't eat any seafood and I still was very satisfied. The mac and cheese on the kids' section was great! The Oreo bon bons for dessert were yummy!

This restaurant was buffet style and the food was pretty good. I give this restaurant two stars because of the service. We had an 8:00pm reservation and we were seated 45 minutes late. After we were seated the waitress took our drink orders, it took over 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Things moved at a snails pace at this restaurant, but if you like clams, mussels, and a lot to eat you may enjoy the buffet.

I liked Cape May Cafe, I just didn't love it. I ate here for breakfast and it was good. I ate alot and I did enjoy myself. There just wasn't anything truly special about it. It had your typical breakfast fare and the service was pleasant. With so many places in WDW to choose from, I probably wouldn't go here again...not because it was bad, just because I would prefer to go elsewhere. For example, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian!

New buffet items like lava cake and calamari makes dinner better than ever! Skip lunch and try it all. Everything's fresh, delicious, and held to Disney standards. If you can take the price and have an empty stomach, Cape May is always a Disney must-dine!

If you like seafood, this is undoubtedly the place for you! First off, let me start off my saying the plethora of crab legs here is just crazy. So many to pick from. My husband had 5 plates (yeah, that's right, 5 plates) of crab legs alone. My 12 year old son had 4 plates of crab legs (and he's only 90lbs!) They were all hot & very fresh (unlike some places where they sit and lose flavor). The brownies here are spectacular as well. Service is great. We will be back.

In trying to decide which restaurant to eat at for dinner last night, my mother decided on Cape May Cafe because their website had Oreo bonbons, which both of my parents wanted to try. I made the reservation for 8:10, and we arrived around 8:00 and checked in. While waiting for our table, my parents were telling my sister about the Oreo bonbons, and the nearby hostess overheard and informed us that they stopped serving them about a year ago. We mentioned our disappointment, saying that they were still on the website, and she apologized and told us we could still buy them in the gift shop. A few minutes later, a manager came out to apologize to us as well. We assured him that it wasn't a big deal, but he asked us where we had seen them listed so he could request to have it taken down. He was very personable and i halfway expected him to offer us free bonbons from the gift shop based on how apologetic he was, but unfortunately they stopped selling them in the gift shop about a month ago. I was very impressed by his level of concern and friendliness regarding this extremely minor problem. We were promptly seated at our reservation time, and, after ordering our drinks, told to help ourselves to the buffet. Although it was not on the menu, the waitress was able to find the caffeine free Diet Coke my father asked about, which made him happy. The waitress was friendly throughout our meal, never allowing our empty plates to sit for too long or our drinks to be empty. Although this is a seafood buffet, there were plenty of options for those who don't like seafood as well. Unlike most chain buffets, Disney does not sacrifice food quality for ease of keeping a wide variety well stocked. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful, and I liked that I was able to try new foods without worrying about ending up with a meal that I didn't like. Many of the crab legs were large and had plenty of meat inside, and the shrimp were huge. We came on ribs night, and I thought the ribs were good, but not as good as the ones I had at Whispering Canyon a few days ago. There were several kinds of breads and cheeses as well, but I wasn't very impressed with any of them. There were a surprising variety of desserts available, and my mother and sister made a point of trying them all. None of them disappointed, and they each had small touches that really set them apart. I had a chocolate cupcake with cookies and cream frosting, and the frosting was so good I think I could just eat it from a jar and be happy. Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Take this for what it is. A place you can bring your family and young children for a nice escape from the crazy parks and enjoy a good meal. I am not a seafood fan but my family loves it. I personally devour the ribs which are amazing. There is quite the assortment of food for everyone to find something they like. It is a nice 5 min walk out of the back gate of Epcot and gives the family a nice break from the parks for a little bit.

Second time dining here and it was really bad. The Disney all you can eat crab and seafood restaurant. The crab was dirty and an incredible low grade product. The rest of the food was nothing more than plain buffet fair. The wait staff seat you then forget about you, it is a task to have them bring drink refills and clear plates. I will never dine here again, a total waste of money and time. I give it 2 stars for the decor. It is located in a beautiful resort and the decor is excellent. Now they just need to get the food to match.

I've been to Cape May a few times, but I recently went for breakfast for the first time. With regard to dinner, the star is the all you can eat crab legs. I don't eat seafood, so this place has never held much allure for me. It is good, but if you don't eat seafood there are other buffets on property that I prefer. Boma and Chef Mickey are my favorites. I have friends that love the crab legs though and that is why I have come and why they keep coming back. I had never been for breakfast until this past week. It is a character breakfast, but you only get 3 characters, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. I don't think it was any cheaper than the other character breakfasts, but I get more characters at Chef Mickey, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare, Akershus, Cinderella's and Crystal Palace. So, in that sense I was bummed to say the least. The food was really though. They had cottage cheese and a great assortment of fruit. They had oatmeal and quinoa and lots of toppings for them. They had bacon, sausage, eggs, eggs with chorizo, and a frittata. Of course, they had the staple food that all Disney breakfast should include... the Mickey waffle. I don't know what it is about Mickey waffles. They are delicious. I especially love the crispness of the ears. The ears are the best part. The best part about this buffet is the crepe station. They had made to order crepes. I had mixed berry with marscapone and peanut butter banana. They also had chocolate, nutella, whip cream and a few others. This was unique to this buffet. I don't know another place on property that they do this and I really enjoyed the crepes, but the line was quite long. I waited about 15 minutes to order my crepes.

Stayed at the Beach Club, and had a character breakfast reserved for one of the mornings we were there. I would have rated this higher, but dropped it one star just for the prices. I'll start by saying the buffet breakfast was one of the best I've had. We have a son with a nut allergy and the chef was nice enough to bring him around to show what he could eat. Our server, Cindy, a very nice Asian lady, was also very nice. The kids did have fun taking pics with the Donald, Minnie and Goofy. Next time we'll try the dinner.

Mixed feelings here. Decent looking and clean buffer. Servers pretty attentive. My problem is watching diners fill they're plates. People grab tongues then lay back on food. Contamination. One lady picked up tongues and dropped in water with potatoes and took them out used them and laid back on the tray! That was all in two minutes so after watching many guests from my table use the utensils I was losing my appetite. It's germ city and I'm not a germaphobe but I do not want to be sick on my trip. The children's buffet bar is also used by adults and watching the children grab the end of the tongues to grab food with fingers in the food at the same time. Who knows where those fingers have been with children. The seafood was also overlooked and corn a little dried out even tho bathed in steamed water. I must admit I enjoyed the salad bar part of the buffet and my kind server. That's earned my three stars. Food alone 2.

I'm glad I finally tried Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort. There were a good selection of items: inventive salad selection, 2 seafood soups, steamed crab legs, mussels in a tomato stew, paella, salmon, battered & fried cod bites, pasta in a vodka sauce, carved to order sirloin, seasoned veggies, mashed potatoes, the "kid's" selections which included pizza and chicken drumsticks, and a wide variety of standard Disney desserts. The kitchen kindly prepared a separate plate of paella for me since I do not eat pork, and the paella in the buffet contained sausage. While it wasn't authentic paella, it was still yummy. I'm not a fan on salmon. At all. But wow! The salmon was delicious! I found the fried cod bites perfectly battered and yummy. I enjoyed the food much more than I expected to. But I still prefer Boma and 'Ohana buffets at Disney.

By far, the best food I had while at Disney (thats not saying too much). The Cafe is located at the Disney Beach Club which is near Epcot. We took a bus to Epcot and walked across and exited Epcot near Great Britain and it was a short walk from there. (about 20 minutes from the Epcot ball to the Cafe. The cafe is located in the lobby area of the Beach Club. Reservations are recommended. I came for dinner but they also have a Disney Character breakfast buffet. Nice selection of foods including crab legs, clams, carving station, salads, cheeses etc. the dessert bar was quite good. Nice selection of mini pastries, cupcakes and chocolates. Nice spot located in a beautiful hotel.

Last year we had a great time. This year, not so much. Our waitress didn't smile at us once and seemed to be rushing us out of the place. We did speak to the manager who wanted to make us feel better, but there was not much he can do to undo our sour experience. We had brunch at Chef Mickeys a couple of days later and had a blast.

Made reservation for breakfast for our family and wait time was for a couple of minutes . The buffet was all-you-can-eat and then some. Wait staff was very attentive and breakfast stations were well-tended to. Our waiter and waitress were Ernie and Dottie, respectively and they did well to check on us from time to time . They took our drink orders and we were pretty much given the go-ahead to pick and choose our breakfast . There is a crepe-station. Fresh fruits, grits, cold cereal ,Mickey Mouse pancakes-pretty much any and everything breakfast related. He real perk is rubbing shoulders Goofy, Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse. A definite highlight of our stay in Orlando. Would Recommend this eatery to anyone going to Disney World.

This review is for the Character Breakfast. First of all, make sure you have an advanced dining reservation, because this place fills up quick. I had a reservation for four adults and one child at 8:45 on a Friday morning, and the place was full. We were seated quickly and our server took our drink orders right away. I wish I could remember her name, but she was from Germany and provided excellent service. The food on the buffet is plentiful. No, it's not quite as vast as Chef Mickey's, but I think there's a little bit of something for everyone. Husband raved about the chorizo eggs, my mom liked the fresh fruit, and my son gobbled down at least three of the cinnamon rolls (fuel for a long day at the parks!). I liked the biscuits and sausage gravy and my father was a fan as well. One thing I didn't like on the buffet was the bacon, and the main reason why this review is three stars. You read that correctly-I dropped a star because of the bacon. It was practically transparent and my favorite item on a breakfast buffet quickly became my least favorite. Shame on you, Disney. The characters that came to our table were Goofy, Donald, and Minnie. I know in the past I've seen Chip and Dale as well. Perhaps they add more characters during peak times (we went in January). The interactions with the characters were fun, and my toddler is still talking about Goofy signing his Goofy hat. Goofy even went and tracked down a sharpie as we weren't anticipating an autograph. It was one of those magical moments that make you all warm and fuzzy inside. This place is expensive. Disney is expensive though, so it comes with the territory. I think next time we'll try a different character breakfast, but overall it was A-Ok.

My family and I loved it there! We went for the character breakfast, many options, everyone was super friendly (as expected since it is Disney!) And the characters took their time with everyone for pictures. It is a little above average regarding price, but again it's Disney, I think it was well worth it.

This is hands-down my favorite restaurant in Disney, and really actually competes for my all-time, anywhere fave. Yes, it's a buffet, but it's like no buffet you've been to before. Filled with top-notch seafood, this place takes "buffet" to a new level. I've been coming here for years on Disney trips, and it's always just as good as I remember it. I mean, there's nothing quite like filling a metal bucket with clams and snow crab legs and dipping them into perfectly drawn butter. While the menu changes a bit day to day, those two are stapes. The service is always friendly, and I'm a sucker for the decor, which includes cool model sand castles.

The food was great. We came for breakfast and were very pleased with the spread that their buffet provided. They offered so many different varieties of food that we could not simply try it all. The breakfast price includes a juice of your choice, all minute made products. They also have a wide variety of teas and coffee to satisfy all guests. They also have morning alcoholic beverages from mimosas to bloody mary's. They also offer gluten free and dietary alternatives for those with allergies. Just make sure you tell your server that you need to speak to the chef. Do not pass up the opportunity to visit this restaurant and enjoy all they have to offer.

Snow crab legs. That's all you need to know. Snow crab legs until your tummy tells you "no more." This was my wife's favorite restaurant on our last visit to Walt Disney World. I admit it, she had the knack and was pulling-out large pieces of snow crab meat, while I fruitlessly ended-up with scraps from my efforts. I was fine, though, and switched to the large-sized steamed shrimp, delicious mussels, clams, and crispy fried oysters. I also enjoyed the creamy clam chowder. Awesome seafood selection. Another good part of this buffet is the cheese selection. Many different, delicious types. There are also some bite-sized desserts, but I preferred the oatmeal raisin cookies. Soft and sweet. I had some of Disney's Black Pearl wine with my meal and enjoyed it. Our last visit came to $41 per person. This gut-buster was an awesome experience. Quality service as expected. Recommended.

My family of 4 visited Cape May Café for a character breakfast during our Disney Vacation and I would say this was one of our favorite experiences at WDW yet. At Cape May we dined with Donald Duck, Goofy, and Minnie Mouse, all of whom made numerous rounds to our table to hug (& kiss) our 4 year old son and infant daughter. Meeting and greeting the characters was a great experience alone. The food was delicious! All very fresh and kept hot. Many selections of breakfast items, definitely not your average breakfast buffet thanks to the Mickey waffles. I am so glad I was able to secure a reservation here although I believe there were slots available for walk-ins as the restaurant was not busy at all. I definitely recommend this restaurant to any family visiting Disney!

I came here with my grandmother for the buffet. It was great! I am not a fan of buffets, due to kids touching all the food left out, but this place is much nicer, and I doubt they let that happen. Its definitely worth it. Also at the end we asked some tea, and the very kind waiter came with a wooden box full of different types...it was too cute! Disney always has cute little things like that around every corner...yet another reason I love them.

Did the breakfast buffet this morning. All was pretty good. Service was average to good. Food was quality. Waffles, eggs, potatoes, biscuits/gravy, fruit, meats, cheeses, cereals etc. biscuits/gravy-not great. Characters came around and its was very slow. Goofy came by and Minnie was 30 minutes later. Overall good though. Dinner is better IMO.

We always try to make it here for dinner at least once a year. Love the buffet. Crab legs, steamed clams, the best paella I've ever had and a variety of other seafood. Carving station and delicious desserts...you won't be disappointed.

If you're staying around the Boardwalk, this is the best character breakfast around. Although it's not my favorite, because nothing can compare to Chef Mickey's, it was surprisingly good. For those expecting to see all the characters, only Goofy, Donald and Minnie pass by. The actual buffet isn't as large and doesn't have as much variety as others we've been to in Disney, but it's also less expensive than the other buffets. If we're in the area, we'll definitely book to eat here again.

This place is okay. They food is decent, nothing fantastic. My husband said the prime rib was overly salty and he couldn't eat very much of it. Unfortunately, they don't offer very much in the way of selection, especially for the prices they charge. My husband and I ate here and our bill (for dinner) came to $80+ and that was before the tip. They serve crab legs, prime rib, ribs, and paella, that's really all that is worth mentioning. On top of the expensive prices, the ambiance is lacking. They sat us with a bunch of families, in a small booth, at a table that was way to long, but not nearly wide enough. $80 for dinner and we couldn't even talk to each other without the tables to the right and left of us hearing every word we said. Another, possibly minor, annoyance was that they didnt provide us with a small fork for the crab legs. They just gave us some clampers, and only one set, for the table. The service was also a little lacking. Our server was overly annoying about a banana that we brought to the restaurant with us. My husband likes to eat with a banana and she wouldn't stop mentioning it and making us feel uncomfortable. This place is also in need of renovation, with the carpet looking dated and worn. They could also clean up a little better. There was a plate of food, near the phones, at the entrance to the bathroom. It stayed there the whole time. Nobody came to clean it up... very unlike Disney. It's a shame really, I'd had such high hopes for this place and we'd really been looking forward to trying it. Definitely won't be coming back and we really wish we'd spent our money elsewhere. There are really way too many great places to dine on Disney property to waste your money here.

Came here for dinner buffet. The price was a bit high and the food selection was very limited. If u like crab legs, then this is the place. The manager Earl was very nice. He found the lost magic band we lost. Reservation is a must during peak time.

Where to begin!!!! Absolutely love this place!!!!!! Go here every year it is a must do for my family we love the breakfast, everything is fresh and hot no matter what time you go. The buffet has a great selection for everyone. The hot selections include your standard bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs, and Mickey waffles which are always a favorite in my book. There is also a carving station with ham along with biscuits and gravy. Also you can have your choice of grits and steel cut oatmeal and plenty of Breads, bagels and pastries.A few of the cold selections are yogurt along with a variety of fresh fruit. I believe they had salmon, also there was chilled asparagus with some type of drizzled on top. The best part of Cape May Café would have to be the character interaction. The character stop by and spend a few minutes at each table. There's no rush or a sense of urgency like at their breakfast buffets example Crystal Palace or at Chef Mickey's. I feel like this place is still a hidden gem unlike the other character breakfasts on the property. It is never too packed during breakfast time I even think you could possibly walk up without reservations. We have tried this place for dinner but we still believe that the true value is in their character breakfast.

I've now been to dinner here three times and breakfast once. I'm updating to five stars because I thoroughly enjoyed he character breakfast as well. I had a not so great character breakfast at 1900 park fare and was so glad when I had a wonderful one here. They made sure no one was skipped and made sure everyone saw a character in a timely manner. I appreciated it. The food was yummy too. Your typical breakfast buffet but with particularly good grits :). I might've had more than one bowl. Service was great too! The waitress immediately recognized that I was feeling under the weather (airplane travel... Yucky cold) and offered her sympathies and asked what drinks I needed to feel better. When I left she let me know she hoped I felt better. Just a nice sweet touch that made me feel a little better. My dinner this time around was great as always. Gave me a birthday cupcake and signed card! So sweet!

Cape May Cafe Dinner is a seafood buffet. The all you can eat seafood is expensive but worth the price. They have lots of non-seafood options on their buffet too. If you like seafood, you will love Cape May Cafe Dinner buffet. Cape May Cafe Dinner buffet is one of the more expensive places to eat while at Disney, but you are getting fresh seafood and lots of it. To me, splurging on extremely delicious seafood while on vacation is worth the extra cost. Check with Disney for the price of the buffet for the time you will be visiting. The price of this meal varies based on the time of year. Do not go full and do not go if you do not have a lot of time to spend enjoying your meal. You will want to take your sweet time to savor all this buffet has to offer. It is always a very special treat for our family to get fresh seafood, especially crab legs. We loaded up on them many, many times. Their salmon and fried shrimp were also some of my favorites.

The Cape May is the restaurant our family must eat at when we are at DW. We have only been here for dinner and there's something for everyone. Everything is fresh and the staff continuously replenishes the chuffing dishes. And the dessert selection is divine.

This Disney Buffet it's Amazing if you Like Steamed Crab Legs, Mussels, Clams and Grilled BBQ Ribs. You Add Paella into the Mix, Fresh Corn Breaded pollock and Shrimp and you got a very Delicious complete Seafood dinner.

This was our first time having character dining and we loved it. The characters come by to every table to shake hands, sign autographs and take pictures with all the guests. The food was delicious. They have a good selection of food. I went on a Sunday expecting brunch but it was breakfast. They did not disappoint, everything was delicious. The service was on point! Our waitress came by our table to refill our drinks and ask how we were doing several times. Make sure you make reservation. It's a popular place. Im sure my family and I will be coming back.

Atmosphere: pretty place with a beach atmosphere. Buffet, and steamers are in the middle with tons of tables around. Food: Being from Maryland I love seafood, so I was excited to come to Cape May at the Beach Club. For me, the offerings were a mixed bag. Items such as clams, salmon, and mussels were all flavorful. The snow crab legs, shrimp, and calamari left me with a "blah" taste in my mouth. Very bland, unlike the old bay driven crabs and shrimp that I am used to in Maryland. The sides were good though as well as the dessert selection. Overall: Cape May is always a must for a Disney Trip if you love seafood. Maybe I will bring my own can of Old Bay next time to spice up the shrimp and crab.

Of all the dinning options at Disney World, this is by long and far my FAVORITE!! I live in Chicago, a city that takes its food seriously as do I. The quality and reasonable price of Cape May Cafe will make this place a MUST DO for all my subsequent trips to Disney or the Orlando area. Also, if you are doing the Disney Dining Plan (like we did) this will be the best point you will use.

I love this place! I went to eat dinner here by myself while on a business trip. The food was amazing. Some of my favorites are the crab legs, penne pasta, salmon, and calamari (only served Wednesdays and Fridays). I cannot wait to go back and bring my family with me! If you love seafood I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful character breakfast!! The food was delicious and plentiful. The signature Mickey waffles are fabulous and cheese grits are amazing. The characters are friendly and spend time at each table. My children loved it! Our service was great. I recommend reservations. Take a stroll out to the beach area while you are there, it's beautiful!

This place was awesome! Our waitress was very nice and we went for dinner time. The buffet was great. I had a few types of dessert and like all of them. I can't say how good most of the buffet choices were because I had five plates of crab legs and some clams. They were delicious.

We have been here three times for dinner in the past couple years when we stayed at the Disney Beach Club resort. It's a seafood buffet - crab leg, clams, mussels, shrimps, salmon. There are other type of food too. There are kids selection of food such as chicken nugget, mac n cheese, pizza, etc. The quality of food are not consistent. There was one time when the food were not fresh and we're quite disappointed. The clam chowder was always good. There is limited selection of desserts. For the price, they could have more selections.

I'm going to be extremely biased, because I worked here in the summer of '09 ... Everything here from the service to the food to the kitchen to the staff is impeccable! When I was there last, most of the staff was very warm and genuine and familial - and the relaxed, magical Disney flavor showed through in their treatment of guests. I only ever ate breakfast here once and dinner here once, and both times had to roll myself out. For a pescatarian, tons of options! And as usual, special treatment for food sensitivities, restrictions and allergies. No crab legs that summer, and the Oreo bonbons were to die for. I regularly drooled over the flan nightly! (Not literally.) Characters are amicable and friendly and delightful. Wait staff are incredibly sweet. Management is great (when I was there). And the kitchen - you can eat off of any surface! Impeccable! Safety and service training unparalleled. Family of the day moments delightful! So many heartwarming stories witnessed. Here, I really felt like Disney took care of its guests ... Nobody left our arms unhappy :) That being said, definitely pricey!

Slightly above average breakfast food and characters come to every table but I wish there were more of them (we only had Minnie, Donald and Goofy). They offer free parking to those who self park so unless you get a parking limitation permit you can keep your car there while you're at Epcot which is incredibly close (5 minute walk). We were seated right on time of our reservation and our server was incredibly nice and attentive.

Came here with my wife for breakfast buffet and to meet characters. Our waitress recognized it's our wedding anniversary and she brought out dessert with a candle, so nice. There is plenty of high quality food to choose from, I just don't care to over eat. No complaints on any of the food. Moreover, the characters; Goofy, Donald, and Minnie were awesome! I'm glad we came here. Just a bus and boat ride away from our hotel.

A seafood buffet that really hits the spot located in the Beach Club Resort. Reservations are really important but they do take early walk ins. One warm day we spent the morning at Epcot and the afternoon in the pool and were just too lazy to dress up and head out to our reservations at Chefs de France. While we were all still at the pool my wife walked inside and got us a walk up reservation. We changed into super casual clothes and walked right into the restaurant for some great seafood. Be sure to come hungry because it's really a great all u can eat seafood buffet with a some perfectly done prime rib for us carnivores. The snow crab clusters were plentiful and my daughters favorite. Not too much work to crack and eat. Cold peel and eat shrimp, a variety of cheese, steamed clams, fish, soup and on the strawberry shortcake dessert shots were great! No lobster on the menu but for the price you can't beat the Cape May Cafe.

Went for the character breakfast on our last day in Orlando. Made a reservation way ahead of time and still had to wait about 10-15 min which is not something you want to deal with when with a 1 yr old, even a saintly angel like mine. It's a cozy little restaurant in the lobby of the beautiful Disney Beach Club hotel. Buffet service, about $30/pp which is pretty steep for some waffles, eggs, and other typical American breakfast classics that aren't horrible but aren't anything memorable. What I did like about the place is that's it's small enough that the characters stop and hang out, pose for pics, and don't seem rushed. The staff was courteous and attentive, so no complaints in the service department.

Great selection for buffet, and helpful staff. One of the prettier restaurants in the resort. But again, be prepared to pay.

We have been coming to Cape May Cafe for the past twenty years. My family and I are Orlando residents who like to dine at the Disney resorts every so often. This is definitely one of our favorites. Cape May Cafe is an all you can eat clam bake/seafood restaurant with an extensive buffet of hot items, seafood, salads, and desserts. The clam chowder that they make here is one of the best ones for the Southeast US. I did notice that the food quality has decline in the last 10 years, but it is still worth the price with the addition of snow crab clusters. Get to the restaurant early as it gets packed quickly!

Not this place was an awesome place for dinner! A seafood lover's dream! All you can eat crab legs, clams, shrimp, craved meat, salads, and some very tasty sides. Plus Dessert! Not cheap but very reasonable considering what you are getting. I would eat there everyday if I could not gain a ton of calories. AND..as always the staff here are great as every cast member is at Disney.

After a fun filled day at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I wanted to visit the Yacht & Beach Club Resort, as my friends and others told me it is a very nice resort and I had never been there before. I planned to grab dinner, but I was not sure where? As I was heading out, I called my mom to let her know about my wonderful day and my evening plans. While I did not have it in mind, she told me to have dinner at the Cape May Cafe, as she heard that it was very good and she thought that I would like the fare. With that in mind, I decided to head to the Cape May Cafe for dinner. Next, I went over to the Cape May's podium at about 4:40PM, as I wanted to see about dining there. The amiable hostess was happy to give me a tour of the buffet and I fell in love with it, as there were many choices like cheeses, salads, different types of crab and shrimp, salmon, sides, and desserts. It was also very well presented and the dining room was spacious and nicely decorated. Happy with my choice, the hostess gave me a buzzer and I was seated right as the restaurant opened at 5:00PM for dinner. I was then led to a plush booth facing the buffet, which was very comfortable! Soon enough, James, my friendly and enthusiastic middle-aged waiter from Orlando greeted me. He took my order for a Diet Coke and also asked if I had any food allergies. I mentioned that I was allergic to eggs and wheat and he agreed to bring out Chef Robert. A couple of minutes later, Chef Robert came to my table and I found him to be friendly and very conscientious. He took me around the buffet and he was very thorough. He told me that the salads and hummus were fine but that the breads, for obvious reasons, were off limits. In addition, the Minnestrone soup was off limits as it contained pasta, but he told me not to worry as he would make me Minnestrone I could eat. The meats, shrimp, crab, paella, and seafood were also fine, as were most of the sides. Unfortunately, the Grilled Herb Salmon contained bread crumbs, but he did not want me to worry as he would make me a fresh batch of salmon without bread crumbs. Of course, desserts were off limits too, but if you read on, he had a surprise in store. Thankful for Chef Robert's guidance, I made my way to the buffet. I started out with salads, which included crisp mixed greens, a pleasantly sweet three bean salad, and a salty and piquant selection of olives. Next, I had an excellent assortment of cheeses. They included a salty and crumbly bleu cheese, sharp cheddar cheese cubes, mild Colby jack cheese, and two salty sticks of an Italian cheese that I do not recall the name of. James then brought my pasta free Minnestrone, which was delicious! The tomato based broth was salty and sweet and the vegetables added a great texture to the soup. Then, I had excellent shrimp with a slightly spicy cocktail sauce and boiled red potatoes. The shrimp were large, tender, and slightly sweet and the potatoes were well cooked with a pleasant earthy flavor. Next, James brought me my delicious salmon, which was moist, flakey, and had a slightly zesty flavor from the herbs. I also got more red potatoes, a large ear of sweet corn, sweet and nutty sautéed butternut squash, and a sweet and salty stewed tomato. James then asked if Chef Robert could make me more salmon, but I told him that I was good as I was starting to get full . Before I made it back to the buffet, Genesis, another waiter, stopped by to say hi. He was very friendly and inquired about my satisfaction. I told him that everything was excellent, which pleased him. I overheard that the table he was serving also had gluten allergies, so I was definitely in good company and the other table agreed. I then got some fruit salad to cleanse my palette before dessert and I found it to be sweet and refreshing. As I was enjoying my fruit, James told me that he had a special surprise for dessert. I thanked him and I waited patiently. A couple of minutes later, he brought out an assortment of desserts from Babycakes, which included four chocolate mini cupcakes, a chocolate donut, and two chocolate chip cookies.. When I mentioned how the chef at Chef Mickey's also offered me a vegan/gluten-free cupcake, he mentioned how Disney has a deal with Babycakes to distribute their baked goods in certain restaurants. We were both thankful for this and I had the pleasure of digging in a little bit. I only had the mini cupcakes, which were moist, had a deep chocolate flavor, and had creamy frosting. Since I was so full, James offered to box up my desserts, which was an offer I could not refuse. Overall, I would definitely return to Cape May Cafe as the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and at about $40/person, it was a great value. I would definitely return to the Cape May Cafe!

  • Tina A.

Not alot of choices for the money. Came here three years before, it was much better then. Not really worth the money with so many other choices.
